Park City

Weather

Almost perfect. Bright sun throughout the day.

Conditions

Snow conditions excellent after all of the new snow over the previous few days.

Overall

For the first time in the week, the sun was shining as we prepared to leave the apartment to go skiing. The sun rose through the notch in the mountains to the East through which Interstate-80 was built. As can be seen from these images, there was a lot of snow around, even at Powderwood, and when visibility is good there are splendid views of Utah Winter Park, the runs of Park City and even Deer Valley in the distance.

As usual, we arrived at Park City just before 8:30 and parked alongside the slopes near First Time lift. Some years the snow level is just a couple of feet above the car park. This year, it was at least 10 feet up (as can be seen from the picture of Chris in the snow.

Today it was John's turn to keep dad company.

He is a very aggressive skier, but rather reluctant on the more difficult slopes. He wants to take the easier way out every time.

As usual, we all met up at Moose's Grill at the Resort Center for lunch (typically a burger or teriyaki chicken)

John and I went off again. These pictures were taken on Dynamite, a mogulled run from the Prospector Chair. By this time in the week, he was having no problems with moguls.
